OVERVIEW

Participate in Pro-Life events: Sign up for 40 Days for Life, attend Jericho Walk for Life, Men’s March for Life, or Sanctity of Life Awareness and Unity Day. Pray daily for an end to abortion.

REQUIREMENTS

40 Days for Life , Spring and Fall Campaigns. This involves prayers for an end to abortion during the 40 days, and some fasting when possible. Also, your presence on the sidewalk, for a prayerful and peaceful vigil, at an abortion facility on one of the days or both that our parish is assigned at any one of the following locations: Planned Parenthood, 4630 Eubank Blvd. NE; Southwest Women’s Options, 522 Lomas Blvd NE; or Alamo Women’s Clinic, 10151 Montgomery Blvd. NE.

Jericho Walk for Life. This peaceful prayer rally is scheduled on Good Friday at one of the abortion facilities.

Men’s March for Life. This is held at the Newman Center, 1518 Las Lomas Rd., on a Saturday. Beginning with Mass and a march to an abortion facility (about 1 ½ miles). Also, an overnight Eucharistic Adoration will be held at the Newman Center the Friday evening before the march.

Sanctity of Life Awareness and Unity Day. This is held in January in Santa Fe. Beginning with Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis followed by a prayerful procession to the Roundhouse. Prior to Mass a collection of donations for the elderly (personal items/clothing) and for mothers and babies (diapers, baby wipes, etc.).
