OVERVIEW
The Kitchen Ministry in close partnership with Social Functions Ministry plan with other ministries within our parish to help prepare for up coming events. We plan, prepare, purchase, schedule, set up and break down area where food is being prepared and served. Set up and breaking down of tables & chairs, signs and decorations. When ever the event has to do with food it all comes though the Kitchen Ministry. We pick up and serve Donuts every 4th Sunday of then month unless otherwise specified.
REQUIREMENTS
Virtus Training that is required by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. Although it is not a requirement is preferred that you have a background in Culinary arts and/or some experience in the food industry, even long-term cooking. It would benefit our ministry and our parish if you have some type culinary creativity and have been introduced to how the kitchen functions. Willingness to work with a big group and alone if needed. We are need of food runners and other things that is needed at that time. Sweeping, moping, cleaning of the tables and chairs. Helping with the scheduling and willingness to attend meetings. Pick up of food items from the store. We also need people that can empty trash, restock paper goods. If you can make food and/or bake items for fundraisers. Take charge if needed when in emergency.
TRANING PROVIDED
Virtus Training online (see Anita the front office). Whatever is needed to introduce utensils, other equipment and their functions.
FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS/SCHEDULE
We meet as needed per function.
