In a faith community, no one should grieve alone.
The Ministry of Hope (MOH) fosters union of hearts, first to set a good example for all by upholding the daily practice of charity in humility, meekness and patience, guided by the wisdom of the gospel.
The Ministry of Hope is a service of love to bring about the building up of God's kingdom among people, especially at the time of death.
After the parish secretary provides the information regarding dates and times of the services, a MOH member will post the details in the funeral notice board (located at the main door of the church).
In order to help the grieving recover, members of the MOH can assist the family, upon request, with the selection of scriptural readings.
If the family offers a reception at the Ascension Parish Hall, MOH members will be available, upon request, to assist with set up and serving the food (according to the wishes of the family).
MOH is always seeking compassionate people to help the bereaved. We meet the 2nd Monday of the month, 10 AM (in the TV Room).
